Opinion | Why real cowboys see ‘Yellowstone’ cowboys and just have to laugh

The second generation of the Nest, which came out in October 2012, is around 20 percent slimmer than the original. The assembled unit, including device and base, measures 3.27 inches (83 millimeters) in diameter and 1.26 inches (32 millimeters) in height. The grill that housed the sensors has been replaced with a smooth, opaque black plastic surface that blends more seamlessly with the device. The entire outer ring is now a single rotating piece, whereas before you turned a separate front portion of the ring. And the internal connectors have been arranged in a circular pattern to allow room for two more connection points. Nest uses various inputs to observe your day-to-day routine and uses them to maintain your HVAC schedule automatically, based on what it learns. The company calls this Nest Sense technology. Nest creates an auto-away mode based on what it's learned. This sets a temperature for minimal HVAC activity when you're not in the building.|Retired and restless? You could put your life and professional experience to work volunteering. You had a great working career, with lots of exciting challenges. Now you've retired and you're ready to enjoy your leisure time. There's only one problem -- you have a little too much leisure time. If you're finding your retirement schedule a bit too empty for your liking, you may want to consider becoming a volunteer. Volunteering can help you give back to your community while filling your leisure time with rewarding experiences. Participating in a senior-specific program like the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) can be enjoyable because it is geared toward likeminded individuals at similar stages in their lives. As long as volunteers are 55 or older, there are a variety of opportunities and time commitments available to participants. You've earned your retirement, so you should be able to enjoy a balance of helping others and leaving time for yourself. Whether you are interested in distributing food or tutoring children, there are many different experiences waiting for willing volunteers. Other auto manufacturers have been entertaining a similar strategy. China is an important market for Porsche's large vehicles, and Bentley, another Volkswagen-owned luxury brand (in addition to Lamborghini), has also enjoyed significant growth in that country. It simply made sense for Lamborghini to reveal the Urus concept vehicle there. But the brand's top decision makers didn't give up on the Urus. The vehicle stayed in development for well over a year, waiting for the right time. What caused the change? Well, it wasn't the European financial news. It was reportedly China's increasing taste for luxury goods that helped drive Lamborghini back into action. The decision was made for the Urus to go into production to help the Lamborghini brand expand into new markets. To meet increased demand in areas where Lamborghini has only recently started selling vehicles. The decision to design the Urus was inspired in part by the success of the Porsche Cayenne, an SUV that, upon its 2002 release, was criticized by some for not remaining true to Porsche's motorsports heritage. With that in mind, we're going to compare and contrast the two technologies across a variety of parameters, starting with the kind of energy they emit. X-rays or Millimeter Waves? A volunteer stands inside a backscatter scanner during a demo at the Transportation Security Administration's Systems Integration Facility at Ronald Reagan National Airport on Dec. 30, 2009. Backscatter technology is one of two types of imaging technology that the U.S. Both types of scanners give off energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation, which exists in nature as waves of energy made from both electric and magnetic fields. These waves travel through space and come in various sizes, or wavelengths. Millimeter wave scanners produce a special type of microwaves with wavelengths that fall in a range exactly between 0.001 meters (1 millimeter) and 0.01 meters (10 millimeters). In other words, the waves emitted by mmw scanners are much larger and therefore have less impact on small structures, such as human proteins and nucleic acids.|Ukraine's leadership said at least 40 people have been killed so far in what it called a "full-scale war" targeting the country from the east, north and south. In response, NATO envoys agreed to beef up air, land and air forces on the alliance's eastern flank near Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian border guards released footage of what they said were Russian military vehicles moving in, and big explosions were heard in the capital Kyiv, Kharkiv in the east and Odesa in the west. As the Russian military claimed to have wiped out Ukraine’s entire air defenses in a matter of hours, Ukrainians fled some cities and European authorities declared Ukrainian air space an active conflict zone. World leaders decried the start of a long-anticipated invasion with far-reaching consequences, as global financial markets plunged and oil prices soared. Russia’s actions could cause massive casualties, topple Ukraine’s democratically elected government and upend geopolitics and Europe’s post-Cold War security balance. ESP is thought to be a special sense beyond the physical world. So if this man has "the gift," he should be able to tell what the pattern is on that ESP test card on his forehead. Most likely, you've never been abducted by aliens, and you probably don't know anybody who's had a brush with Bigfoot. But undoubtedly, you or somebody close to you has had the apparently paranormal experience of "seeing" the future or distant events. Most of us have dreamed something that eventually came true, had a correct hunch about an event miles away or predicted an out-of-the-blue phone call from an old friend. The experience is incredibly strange -- positively spooky -- but it happens all the time. So what's going on here? Depends on who you ask. A sizable chunk of the world's population attributes these strange events to extrasensory perception (ESP), a special sense beyond vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Unlike ordinary senses, ESP has virtually unlimited range, and it's experienced mainly as thoughts rather than bodily sensations. These are usually only sold by a licensed health care practitioner such as a doctor, nurse practitioner, compounding pharmacist or chiropractor. The manufacturers of pharmaceutical grade supplements know their high quality products can have a profound effect on an individual’s health; therefore, they want a licensed health care practitioner monitoring the use of their product. If you don't know if the supplements you are purchasing are pharmaceutical grade, make sure the company is Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified and find out by whom they are certified. You may also want to make sure they perform laboratory analysis on their products, find out what kind of assays they perform on their products, and see if they do disintegration studies on their supplements. You may also want to see if the company performs human trials to ensure they are safe and effective. Seeking out a health care provider trained in integrative medicine can be a step in the right direction to help you through the process of finding a high quality nutritional supplement that will meet your personal needs.
